There's no better way of keeping you're a/c belt in good working condition than to make sure that it has the right amount of tension all the time. By doing this, the belt ensures that your A/C components get to operate smoothly every time they're used. Now to make sure that proper tension is given to your engine's belt on a regular basis, you'll need to pair it up with an A/C Belt Tensioner Pulley. This device allows the serpentine belt to perform rotary motions the moment you turn on your air conditioning system. It's also responsible for taking away the slack of the belt to ensure its optimum performance. This is made possible with the help of a small canister-like spring housing and a tensioning arm that provides constant pressure to the belt. Through this process, the belt is able to give your car's A/C components the power they need to operate smoothly. Because of its crucial function, this component is manufactured from premium materials to prevent quick deterioration. It's also designed to replace stock components, so you won't have a problem making it fit your engine during set-up. Lastly, this device is precision-engineered with the use of advance technologies so you're assured that it will give optimum performance all throughout. The A/C Belt Tensioner Pulley plays a crucial part in giving your vehicle's A/C system constant power. And if you're looking to replace your old component, simply pick one from Auto Parts Warehouse's extensive selection of quality tensioner pulleys today.
How to Replace a Worn-out A/C Belt Tensioner Pulley
With all the spinning, stretching, and heating up that the A/C belt does, it's not surprising for it to eventually wear out-especially without the right tension. To ensure that your A/C belt receives the proper tension, make sure to check on the A/C belt tensioner pulley. If you hear a high-pitched squealing noise every time you power up the air conditioning in your car, it's probably time to change your worn-out pulley.

Step 1: Turn off your car engine and let it cool down for a couple of hours.
Step 2: Pop the hood open and locate your A/C belt tensioner.
Step 3: Remove the nut on the center of the A/C belt tensioner pulley with your ratchet and the proper socket. Use some rust penetrator if the nut is difficult to remove.
Step 4: Loosen the adjustment bolt on the A/C bracket to lessen tension on the A/C belt.
Step 5: Remove the A/C belt. Depending on your vehicle, you might have to remove or displace other parts before getting to the A/C belt.
Step 6: Fit the new pulley into position and replace the A/C belt.
Step 7: Tighten the nut on the center of the pulley and the adjustment bolt. Check your vehicle's manual in case you have to torque the nut and bolt according to the manufacturer's specifications.
Step 8: Test your installation by turning up your air conditioning. If there is still a squealing noise, turn off your engine again and readjust the pulley and belt until the air conditioning works properly.
