ENGINE LONG BLOCK, REMANUFACTURED -- Vortec with Gen plus head, 2 bolt main, metric threads in block roller cam vehicles; <b>Includes</b> gasket kit and oil pump; <b>Cylinder block</b>: Magnafluxed for cracks and checked for any visible damage to the block or threaded holes before being repainted to the original color, each cylinder is honed with the specified cross-hatch pattern after the block is bored, decked and chamfered; <b>Crankshaft</b>: Machined on a fully-automated crank grinder for consistency and critical tolerances, given a final wash for cleanliness, all oil galley holes are chamfered and brushed after machining; <b>Connecting rods</b>: Measured against stringent specifications for bend, twist, and center-to-center length, the piston pin bore and bearing bore are measured with air gauges for proper dimensions, installed with new torque-to-yield rod bolts and nuts; <b>Cylinder heads</b>: Resurfaced and completely inspected for any visible damage or cracks, valve seats are machined, inspected and replaced if necessary, valve guides are inspected with an air gauge and replaced if necessary, cam bore is checked and machined if required, used with brand new valves, seals and lifters, all plugs and fittings are replaced with new pieces to protect against possible coolant leaks; This engine is spin tested to ensure proper oil flow, pressure, torque and compression; All sealed units are tested for oil and coolant leaks; With 36-month/100,000 miles warranty when installed in passenger cars, police cars and light trucks.
