my salesman was great and saved me a lot of money. thats what i was looking for. the fuel pump wasnt an "exact" fit but with a few modifications it works very well. I had to reuse the original seal.

I'm about to send my second one back. First one was installed August of '11 and the second November of '11. Both times the pump failed shortly after I ran low on gas. If you don't keep it sumberged in gas it must overheat or something. Guess I'll be purchasing a more expensive model and hoping it works out better than this one.

i was quoted $309.00 for a simple drop in style fuel pump.empty fuel and be very careful disconnecting fuel lines.Dont forget about the ground wire too. when removing the hoses on the pump try heating them to sofen them then you can twist and pull. everything plugs right where it goes. hard to cross anything. you are dealing with gas so be very careful and have a fire extinghuser around. turned key on to get power to pump for about 3 sec. turn engine over and it started right away. good luck and take your time.

Tricky to install by Towfieee, February 4, 2011

Good: ==== - Delivered quickly - about 2 days - After installing it sounds perfect. My truck never sounded better since the old one used to whine non stop since I bought it. Bad: === - It can use an extra filter since the s-10 fuel pump uses two filters instead of one. - It can use hoses since the pressurized hoses can get damaged after removing the old pump. - It can use a little sheet with a diagram instead of doing it blind folded. VERY IMPORTANT: (S10 2001 4.3L) ======================= After removing the bed to be able to get to the fuel tank and pump, the pump refused to work after that. After a month of trying and trying I found out that the (Ground Wire for the fuel pump) is hooked up to the tail light ground wire near the tail light in the back of the truck. I disconnected it to be able to remove the bed and thats why it wouldn't work. Stupid reason but it can be very frustrating like it was for me. Good luck
