We designed the first plastic Heavy Duty truck fans in 1968 for Class VI & VIII trucks, and produced the first one-piece plastic truck fan in 1977, followed by the first injection molded truck fans in 1979. In 1978, Flex-a-lite developed the first electric engine cooling fan for the U.S. Aftermarket. In 1982, the company began producing vertical incubator systems for salmon and trout hatcheries worldwide under the brand name “MariSource”. We also manufacture various metal and plastic components with high-volume and high tonnage punch presses, precision press brakes of various sizes for local customers. We sell products globally through distribution channels that are handled by direct sales managers employed at the company who then use manufacturer representatives to augment the sales effort. Fisheries products are sold directly to State and Federal government agencies, truck fans are sold through various distribution channels including Paccar, Freightliner, Volvo, GM, and Navistar. Flex-a-lite Consolidated encourages and supports community groups as well as industry associations such as SEMA, APAA, HDBF, World Trade Center-Tacoma, Chamber of Commerce, ASQ, APIC’S, and Rotary. In May 1998, Flex-a-lite was awarded the “Outstanding Business of the Year” award by the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce. In October 1998, our owner and President, Rainer O. The warranty period for this product commences on the day the product is purchased by the original customer. APW warrants that it will replace, free of charge, any product which, under normal conditions or use and service, and which has been properly installed, proves to be defective in material or workmanship. This warranty, however, does not cover any labor costs incurred in diagnosis of defects, removal or reinstallation of a product, nor does it cover any other contingent expenses. To obtain performance of this warranty, the consumer should contact APW and return the product as instructed at customer's expense. A dated purchase receipt or other written proof that the product is within the warranty period and the return of the product at customer's expense will be required in order to honor your claim. This warranty is limited to the original customer, i.e. is not transferable to subsequent owners of the product. Specifically excluded from this warranty are failures caused by misuse, negligence, modification, abuse, improper application, installation or operation, or by unauthorized service or use of unauthorized parts in connection with the product and inadequate maintenance, normal wear and tear or normal consumption of the product. To the extent allowed by law, this warranty sets out your exclusive remedies with respect to the product covered by it, whether for negligence or otherwise. Neither APW nor its affiliated companies will be liable for incidental or consequential damages, such as telephone calls, loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss, personal injury damages, etc. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. ANY WARRANTY IMPLIED BY LAW, WHETHER OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR OTHERWISE, IS LIMITED TO THE PERIOD THAT THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY IS EFFECTIVE. No attempt to alter, modify, or amend this warranty shall be effective unless authorized in writing by an officer of APW.
