EBC 3GD SPORT BRAKE ROTORS, DIMPLED AND SLOTTED, VENTED, SET OF 2

Keep your brake system cool with EBC 3GD Sport Series Brake Discs. These discs have wide aperture slots that draw cool air into the braking contact area, thereby reducing excess heat and preventing brake fade. During wet conditions, the slots help wick water away from the rotors while removing dirt, dust, debris, and gases created by heavy braking. Moreover, the slots maintain flat and parallel pad wear, keeping optimum pad contact throughout the life of the discs and pads. And, unlike other slotted discs that produce a lot of air noise, 3GD Sport Series Brake Discs only have three slots, making them more pleasant to the ear.

Specifications:
  • 5 x 4.5 in. bolt pattern
  • 13.58 in. disc diameter

Features:
  • Made from precision machined, high quality gray iron that went through extensive testing and rigorous quality control
  • Dimple drilled to avoid stress cracks
  • Slotted to avoid the record grooves or galling common with non-slotted rotors
  • New black anodized EBC finish provides great looks whilst preventing corrosion

These discs are ideal for use with EBC upgrade sport pads. Install them yourself with EBC Instructional Video P/N E35DVD083 (sold separately).

I paired these rotors with EBC's Red Stuff brake pads for my 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T. Half an hour ago, I was cut off by a teenage girl attempting to merge onto the interstate at 30-ish mph. The braking power of this combination is incredible. I have not yet track tested them, but as far as spirited street usage is concerned, they are disgustingly capable. It's almost a waste that they aren't ground into extreme conditions on a daily basis, not that they couldn't handle it. While these rotors would look downright silly on a minivan, for a sports car they are breathtaking. They are aggressive looking, but not over the top. In the case of anything sporty, the increased cost over stock is justified by not only the aesthetics, but increased performance.

EBC Brakes are Awesome by blk06chargerRT, December 15, 2007

I noticed an immediate improvement in the braking performance and feel of my vehicle. The "break-in" process took longer than anticipated (nearly 500 miles of various driving conditions) and was associated with an increase in initial braking noise and an annoying grinding noise. Overall however the brakes are amazing, the car stops much sooner, and even during spirited driving the brakes show no signs of fade. I will definitely purchase these brakes again, and would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their vehicle.
