Poor choice by Alex, April 2, 2014

I purchased this fan based on price and that was a mistake. You get what you pay for! The fan looks good but after installation it is definitely noisier than the original fan especially when the engine noise is low and the fan is on medium or higher. The faster it blows the higher the whine noise. I .would replace it but it is a labor intense job that takes several hours.

Went right in out of the box... other than getting that one screw out ... this was a perfect fix and solution to my problem...

Everything A0OK with the replacement part. Getting the housing of the blower open and then forcing the units out and back in past a baffle was quite trying.

After doing some research and watching a You Tube video I purchased and installed this unit with little or no problem. the back screw was tough to get out and in and making sure the deflector was in the closed position were the only troublesome areas. plugged the unit in and it has been working great since!

The part was for a 2001 Chrysler T&C. The blower motor is housed in a difficult to open housing. Once the housing was opened the actual exchange of parts was easy taking less than 15 minutes to drop the old and install the new. The closing of the blower housing replacement of the carpet and central console again took time. Now I have heat and defogging capabilities without the high-pitched squeal. Life is good!
