This isnt even close to the right part the whole bottom part is too long the frame doesnt need the additional grounding wire clip dont waste your money. This clearly isnt going to fit your 99 Pontiac Sunfire GT. I tried to modify it and all I did was screw it up enough that I cant return it. A waste of your time and your money. look elsewhere and triple check the base of your current one before ordering

Even thought the site mentioned that this lighter fits the ML lighter socket since the socket is in the middle (between the seats) dash/console the lighter head was to tall to close the lid on the dash. It was not the lighter for the ML 320 between seat dash/console.

it says minor ajustments to make it fit then maybe it should come with insructions to help with that i'm not tring to light my car on fire. just trying to chrage my phone
