It was because of our motorhome that my wife, Julie, and I started GIBSON PERFORMANCE EXHAUST. Like you, we needed power and torque….and a lot more of it! But when we looked for the right exhaust system to fulfill our needs, it was more like spinning a roulette wheel and hoping for a good outcome. We soon grew tired of disappointment and set out to create a product that would satisfy our performance needs. After much study, we hired the best engineers and technicians and began producing prototype models. We set our goals high: to create a cost-effective system that not only increased horsepower and fuel economy, but it expanded the power bands, allowed the engine to run cooler, would not compromise the life of the engine and the entire system would be hassle free bolt -on installation. In the early 90’s customers recognized our success in creating a superior Motorhome product, they began asking for an exhaust system and headers for their Truck or SUV that would give them the power and torque they wanted while minimizing the level of noise inside the cab. With our complete testing and manufacturing already in place for the Motorhome market, phase two of Gibson Performance Exhaust began. Our modern research and development manufacturing facility department utilizes cad cam software to provide new and innovative products to meet the demands of today’s vehicles and watercraft. We design our products in our fully equipped R&D center with our engine chassis dynometer, computerized, numerically controlled, CNC mandrel tube benders , along with flow bench and audio test equipment. Each new component must pass both quality and performance evaluations prior to a manufacturing commitment. Exacting specifications assure the installer and purchaser that all systems fit properly and yield programmed benefits.
