Good Mirror for the Money by Snafu, November 19, 2009

The mirror is plug and play (once you learn how to remove the door panel). The plastic mount did not fit flush with the door at the top. I heated it with a heat gun and re-formed the plastic by hand (wear gloves) until it fit perfectly. Since the right hand mirror does not have the same range of motion I recommend adding washers to shim the forward mount out slightly.

Service was great...all went nice and smooth, from the order, email communications, to the delivery.

The delivery was prompt; great price; almost looks like the original --the housing is textured except the snap on panel. That look was glossy-very weird. The mirror functions perfectly except it seems to just slightly less range of motion (barely noticeable). Installation was a bear--but that had more to do with a stubborn dooor panel. Be sure to get Chilton's or something that illustrates the panel assembly.

Instuctions would have brought every rating to a 5-star. I would only adivise the purchase of these mirrors (L and R) if you already own a Chiltons or Haynes manual. The price for the Mirrors was good, but add the cost of a manual, $30.00-$40.00 dollars; then the cost benefit ration begins to drop.
