this is the most i have ever dropped on an air filter... ever. however on accelerating it creates a whistling noise. for some this may not bother them but it drives me up a wall. sorry K&N back to the good old Fram for now.

Noticed an immediate increase in uphill power with 2.3 liter four cylinder Mazda/Ford motor, and 2-3 miles per gallon increase in fuel economy. Definitely worth the struggle with the a/c compressor hose to install the filter.

I've been using K & N Air Filters on my last four vehicles. I love the fact that I can install the filter and leave it for 50,000 miles before cleaning and recharging it, and I don't have to worry about a dirty paper filter affecting my gas mileage and engine performance. The cost of the recharging kit doesn't really bother me because you can clean and recharge a filter more than once or twice with the kit and if the kit outlasts the vehicle I know that when I get a new vehicle I will be purchasing a new K & N Filter for the new ride.
