Replacement tailgate was slightly less heavier than the original but looks and functions as oem.

The new unit was a quick replacement of the failed OEM handle and made the tail gate easy to open again. However, the near exact construction/design of the replacement unit will probably fail in the exact same place as the original for the exact same reason.
