I received the pump promptly. but with no directions or wiring diagrams. I had to call and have them e-mailed to me. They offer 6 alternative wiring possibilities. This was very confusing and frustrating. A month later I m still trying to figure out how to get the gas gauge to work. I have exhausted all but one possibility. I hope that that one makes the gauge turn on. The truck does start now though...

Get yourself the pump you took out of your vehicle not just some aftermarket product made in tim-buck-to.

Took about a day to change this out of my Dads little Chevy S-10 and it works like a charm. Dad had trouble with this starting for years so thought we would try changing out the Fuel pump and it worked! Starts right up now.

Installed pump myself with no problems. One week later truck stalled out in traffic had to have it towed into my local repair shop. It was determined that the internal hose that feeds from pump to external fitting came apart where it was heat shrunk to the fitting. Installed a hose clamp as returning pump to APW and getting a replacement would have taken too much time and cost more money in rental cars. Now I drive around wondering how long the pump will last before it quits again. Would have cost less to pay shop to install locally sourced pump in the first place.
