The one thing that needs to be looked into on this product is the adjustment on the hardware. The two locking units on the side of the gate do stick out far enough, they just barely catch the brackets on the inside of my truck, I had to modifiy them to make them work.

Since the trunk is black, could have just shot the clear and hung the tailgate except for the circles let on the primer from the bubble wrap, other than that, it was ready to go out of the box!

Having replaced my tailgate for the third time now, I've become somewhat of an expert. The first two times I went the junk yard route and thought I was saving money. But adding time spent searching to the cost of body repair supplies, I found it cheaper to just get a new one and have it back from paint the next day. This time I put a lock on the sucker.
