I originally purchased this pump back in June, hoping it would work like any other. Unfortunately, the original one only lasted about two months before it had leaked all over my engine compartment and onto the ground. So I sent it back and gave another one a try. And after installing it myself this time, the replacement is working OK. But I still don't like the noise this thing makes, which is somewhat of a high pitched whine when the engine RPMs go up. This might be due to the quality of the product, for it doesn't appear to be leaking. Would I still recommend it though? Yes, but only if you can't afford a better quality pump. And after talking with customer service, it sounds as though this pump has been returned before, so getting a good one is a hit or miss proposition.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago for my 1996 Honda Civic. It went in OK and for the most part works as well as I could have expected. It does, however, make a distinct noise that you can hear when the engine RPMs go up, but it's not noticeable at idle. Personally I would still recommend it if you're not looking to spend a lot of money.

I recently had this put in my 1996 Honda Civic. So far it seems to be working OK, but it does make a very distinct noise you can hear when the engine RPMs go up. I've noticed it while I'm shifting through the gears. But other than that, it looks a lot like the original pump, and according to my mechanic was not that difficult to install. It was also the best price I could find for a new one.
