This part looks like OEM right down to the wire color coding. In fact Im convinced it is an OEM part right down to the numbers stamped on the case. Use long sissors or wire cutters to remove the wire ties; to remove from the shaft back the big nut off 3-4 turns then use a big screwdriver between the nut and side of the pan to pry off easily. TIP: when reinstalling it will be a TIGHT fit; clean shaft well and coat with anti-sieze then use a dremel tool to remove a tiny bit of material from the inside radius of the new part (its aluminum so be careful) until it slides on snugly but not tight. Its meant to be a tight fit so dont take too much off. Anti-zieze the adjustment bolt as well. To adjust: key on shift into reverse; have helper watch the backup lights while you adjust. Total time to install: about 1 hour.

This part is of superb quality for what you pay for it. On this site its below 1/2 price than you will find it anywhere else. Its manufacture is equal in performance and feel of the factory unit. The quality is so high on this part that the wires are color coded the same as the factory part, every thing matches the factory service manual to a T, and the connector is superb. If you are a novice mechanic, BE PREPARED and stay patient, due to the location, and the likely old age of the factory part, it will be difficult to remove the old part. Clean up the shaft it rides on, give it a good shot of penetrating fluid, and let it sit overnight if you can. The space is tight but it can be worked of with patience. If all else fails you though, it can be broken to make removal easier. When you install the new part, and if it doesnt work just right at first you may have to clock it forward or backward to get it in the sweet spot, there is room for this adjustment built in to the new part. Again dont waste your money on cheap junk from the quickie parts store, this part is top notch all around and it should last another 7 years.
