The product itself was fine. BUT the store (Autoparts Warehouse) opted to ship the product in its store-front box and it was a Christmas gift. My options were to wrap a loose tailgate net or leave it in a box that it was intended to be placed in that looked like it went through target practice and a mosh pit.
