Bought the panel K&N filter for my new 2012 Sonata SE. It is the 2.4 engine. Since I have had many cars with K&N filters I have always seen a minor improvement or gain I could "feel" from all my previous experiences - like going up a steep hill by my house, etc.. Unfortunately with the Sonata, I could not feel a thing, no difference at all, also no measureable difference in fuel economy either. I guess the stock paper filter is pretty good. Don't expect any performance or mileage gain. But you don't have to ever replace it and that is worth something.
