Economical and simple replacement by Dr. Deathtrap, January 14, 2014

Overall Rating:

I have spent the last 20+ years working on older cars both American and foreign and have dealt with so many aftermarket suppliers I cant even begin to list brands. Being in the industry I personally end up driving many of the older cars that are a little too worn for a customer to still want to keep after. Most recently I found myself piecing together a 1982 Mercedes-Benz 240D which had already had a 1979 300D engine installed in it after some prior mechanical fiasco and was pretty neglected but it is a clean body and I decided to try to piece it together. Not being 100% confident in the rest of the car yet I purchased the cheapest replacement master cylinder available to fix my (lack of) brakes and from the moment I opened the box I was impressed by the quality of the part and the overall fit finish and performance. Having changed hundreds of these in this particular model automobile I can say beyond doubt that this is a great replacement for anyone trying to stick to a budget while maintaining their vintage (ok just old....) daily driver.
