OK Pipe for a while by MM83, November 3, 2009

I am currently on my 3rd walker resonator pipe, and muffler for my '97 Escort. The quiet flow 3 mufflers I have used, I was able to use the lifetime warranty on to replace for free, but the resonator pipe assembly's I have had to replace, I was on my own. For the amount of money I have spent on new resonator pipes, I could have gotten a factory system 1.5 times over. Up here in the northeast, aftermarket exhaust systems don't hold up as well as the factory exhaust systems. The Walker systems fit very well, have good bends, keep the car quiet, and do not restrict the exhaust flow any more than the factory system. But the steel they are made of doesn't seem to stand up as well as what the factory systems are made with. I would fully endorse the use of this exhaust in areas that don't see road salt. But if you are in an area with a harsh climate, or an area with ocean spray, and you want to keep the car around for more than 3 years, consider finding a factory exhaust system. If Walker made a system that was better quality, with a lifetime warranty, I would buy it!
