2001 Subaru Forester had 182K miles. 2 of the 4 shocks had failed. I opted to replace everything shock mounts shocks shock boots and bumpers. I was very glad I did. It did make the replacement job parts more expensive.

Boots should come free with new struts. These rear strut boots were the same size as the fronts even though the springs were smaller in the rear. The fit was very tight and the spring compressors mangled them a little. They didnt rip but might wear over time rubbing on the spring. The bump stop was very hard to slide over the collar on the end of the shaft. From a company with great quality I was expecting more. Not sure how this mistake can be passed over.
