This product, as with ALL others like it (i.e. oiled media filters) have the potential to cause MAF sensors to become fouled with oil and fail; BUT 99.99% of the time, it's caused by over-oiling the media by the individual who cleans and re-oils the media. Bottom line, this is a great product and I have a K&N in all 4 of our vehicles ... and I even have one in the motorcycle! I suggest purchasing a kit that comes with a bottle that allows you to measure the amount of oil you re-apply after cleaning so you won't have this problem. I had to learn the hard way with the first filter I purchased, but no problems since then and I've got nearly 200,000 miles on my filters! I marked it down on performance because it's not an intake, just a filter, so it doesn't add quite as much power.
