First replacement motor failed within 15 months. This one costs a bit more but better quality. You can replace without removing glass if you have small hands a mirror LED headlamp and patience. If you remove mounting brackets then you need to tape the window in place to prevent glass breakage. In retrospect taking the brackets out and doing the motor changeout on the work bench is probably faster. Take care when removing panel not to break plastic clips. Test the window before reinstalling the panel. You can save minimum $400 by doing this repair yourself.

I thought I was getting a decent item at a good pirce but within 11 months after purchasing, the window stopped working when all the way down. When I took the motor out and took it apart, I found a plastic boss that holds the main external gear in place, broke. It still works but the gear wobbles and causes the window to stick in the down position. This is just a poor design or choice of the wrong plastic. I will try to get a refund since just under 1 year but who knows what I will get. You can take your own chance.

I hired a mechanic who came to my house and installed the motor for US 60 It works well, and I saved at least US 200 buying online and getting a mechanic to come to my house
