EBC 3GD SPORT BRAKE ROTORS, DIMPLED AND SLOTTED, VENTED, SET OF 2

Keep your brake system cool with EBC 3GD Sport Series Brake Discs. These discs have wide aperture slots that draw cool air into the braking contact area, thereby reducing excess heat and preventing brake fade. During wet conditions, the slots help wick water away from the rotors while removing dirt, dust, debris, and gases created by heavy braking. Moreover, the slots maintain flat and parallel pad wear, keeping optimum pad contact throughout the life of the discs and pads. And, unlike other slotted discs that produce a lot of air noise, 3GD Sport Series Brake Discs only have three slots, making them more pleasant to the ear.

Specifications:
  • 5 x 4.5 in. bolt pattern
  • 11.65 in. disc diameter

Features:
  • Made from precision machined, high quality gray iron that went through extensive testing and rigorous quality control
  • Dimple drilled to avoid stress cracks
  • Slotted to avoid the record grooves or galling common with non-slotted rotors
  • New black anodized EBC finish provides great looks whilst preventing corrosion

These discs are ideal for use with EBC upgrade sport pads. Install them yourself with EBC Instructional Video P/N E35DVD083 (sold separately).

I've gotten in about 1500 miles on these, on my 07 Lexus IS250 AWD. Only fronts, and installed with the EBC Red pads. (My rear stock brakes still have some life remaining). The appearance behind the 10 spoke wheels is great, stopping is great - not sure it's better than the stock but definitely not worse. I have however noticed a great improvement in wet braking. It feels like I'm driving on a dry road. I have one complaint and I plan to ask a mechanic about this. When I brake from a high speed and going downhill, I feel vibrating. From the same speed on a flat road (70+), it feels fine but I guess the extra force on the fronts when going downhill causes something. This is a daily occurrence when I exit the highway to go to my office. This is my first experience with dimpled/drilled/slotted rotors of any brand so maybe I'm just feeling the slots catching the pads. I am also going to point out that there was some squealing during soft braking for the first few hundred miles. After they got broken in, the sound completely stopped. Ultimately, I am getting better rotors for my money than the stock and I plan to purchase the matching set for the rear when they're due in a couple thousand more miles.

Great rotors however they were coated black and not gold as in the picture. I used with the new EBC green stuff pads, so far so good. Performance seems to be above average. A bit of noise in the beginning but seem to have gone away. Once used, the black coating came off on the rotor and it shows silver.
