I was very happy with my purchase of the VW fog lights except for not saying VW on them they are an exact match to what was on the car from new. I was expecting plastic lenses on them but no they are glass just like OEM! Other than having to take the front end off the car to replace them, there was no other trouble. The later New Beetles from 2000 to present allow you to remove the lower grille panel where the fog lights are and do it that way. For '98 & '99 you have to take off the front bumper and fenders to install them.
