The filter improved my 99 Volvo S70's acceleration. The engine doesn't sound like it's dying when I accelerate; it sounds crisp and clear. It accelerates quicker without much effort from the engine is what I am trying to say. It fits right in the box of the filter; so it does overheat the engine by allowing hot air in. It is a great buy and cheaper than I found it at Pepboys. I DIDN'T THINK A FILTER COULD MAKE SUCH A DIFFERENCE, SPECIALLY FOR 40 BUCKS!
