Distributors

High output ignition systems place severe demands on Distributors and their components. The extremely high voltage tries to pierce Distributor Cap and Rotor material. Repeated surges of spark current do their best to deposit "tracks" of carbon on the material's surface. At high RPM, centrifugal force pulls at rotor springs and inserts. High under-hood temperatures try to turn molded parts into liquid. The heavy spring tension required to prevent "points-float" tries to wear away the points' rubbing block and deform its arms and brackets. The high current generated by the coils wants to arc across the contacts as they open. Condensers, in an effort to buffer the rapidly switching current, heat up in the process. It's an extremely demanding environment.

  • Centerless ground steel shaft
  • 10,000 RPM bearing upper with oil lite bushing lower
  • performance electronic pick up and module (where noted)
  • High dielectric strength cap, balanced rotor for trouble free performance

  • Iron or Steel distributor gear compatible with flat tappet cams and OEM hydraulic roller camshafts

SuperStock Spiral Wire Sets

The traditional combination of yellow wire and red spark plug boots has been added to the existing SuperStock Spiral product line, which features color matched wire and spark plug boots in blue, black and red. With only 500 Ohms/foot of resistance, more ignition energy can reach the spark plug, producing a hotter, longer-lasting spark flame kernel. The result is higher performance through improved efficiency, quicker throttle response and reduced emissions. This 8mm wire's double silicone construction is rated to 550° F. The high gross wire jacket resists moisture, chemicals and heat extremes for longer life and great looks. The fiberglass braid adds greater pull strength and terminal retention, while the stainless steel spark plug terminals provide excellent long life, electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. Both universal and custom fit applications are available for early and late model cars and trucks.

SuperStock Wire Sets

Our SuperStock Wire is designed to upgrade an OE ignition system for high spark delivery levels for street-driven applications. The 450° F-rated silicone jacket is extruded over a tightly woven, rugged fiberglass braid which is applied over a high dielectric strength EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) inner insulation for ignition wire performance that exceeds SAE specifications.

This allows for a wider heat range, extreme resistance to fouling and better ignitability than conventional performance spark plugs. These Silver Tip Spark Plugs offer better performance and reliability in high-boost, nitrous, or high-compression engines. Silver Tip Spark Plugs' finewire center electrode gives more room for the insulator between the center electrode and spark plug shell.
