Hidden Hitch and the Company Behind It
A pickup truck might have the engine capacity to be able to pull a heavy load behind its cargo bed, but it won’t be able to do so without a trailer hitch. This additional part can distribute the extra weight of the load in such a way that it doesn’t get left behind. Hidden Hitch is obviously a brand that creates this part as well as its components and accessories for a variety of models.
The Cequent group
Hidden Hitch is a part of the Cequent group, a family of automotive brands that all cater to different systems of various vehicles. Some of these brands, such as Fulton, Bulldog, and Wesbar have been around for more than 70 years.
The TriMas corporation
The Cequent group is owned by the TriMas Corporation. It’s a Michigan-based company that has roots from the 1920s. However, it has only been formally incorporated in 1986 as Campbell Industries, named after its founder, Brian Campbell. He had been acquiring a variety of brands that has eventually spanned into an international manufacturing company.
