The Zimmermann brand retains an aura of Old World mystery. It’s history is hidden by mists, but a brief outline can be seen about it.
A glimpse of Zimmermann
The Otto Zimmermann company has been in the automotives industry for more than five decades now. Throughout that time, it has gained a reputation of developing, producing, and selling vehicle components. Its coated brake discs, in particular, have become known for both their looks and performance.
In 2000, the Zimmermann Group separated its trucking division into a separate company so that its trading partners could benefit more from its marketing concepts.
Moving across Germany
In 1990, the company moved its headquarters from Eppingen, a town nestled among Germany’s hills to Sinsheim, a town nearer the Rheine river. Sinsheim is known to have an automotives museum with over 300 vintage cars. Zimmermann’s move to this town not only makes the company closer to this history, it also allows it to have administrative premises, production facilities, and warehouses that span a total of over 17,000 square-meters.
