"Great buy. My car looks brand new thanks to these aftermarket headlights. They work perfectly and look just like the originals. Very happy with my purchase." posted by: Oneil on November 20, 2013

"after market parts are not the way to go....the price is great however you get what you pay for. After spending 2 hours installing the headlight it kept going on and off. Rather than remove it and reinstall the old light box up and return the new one wait 2 weeks to get a replacement and HOPE that it worked we had to hardwire it directly because the wiring on the new headlight was faulty. next time I will pay the extra for Nissan part." posted by: sunshine on December 2, 2012 view all 4 reviews

It may seem kind of strange for the police to pull you over and give you a sizable fine because of a malfunctioning headlight, but that only shows how important it is. Nearly as old as the car itself (the earliest headlights appeared in the late 19th century and was fueled by kerosene), Nissan Altima headlights keep us safe when driving at night or in other low-visibility conditions by illuminating the road ahead. So when you notice that the headlights in your Altima are not working properly or have been damaged, they must be repaired or replaced immediately. Nissan Altima headlight replacement will not only keep the cops from pulling you over but will also save your life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ask APW
  • How long before a Nissan Altima headlight must be replaced?
Answer: The length of time needed before getting the headlights of the Nissan Altima checked depends on the kind of headlight it has. For halogen headlights, which is the most common type of headlight available, their average lifespan is between 450 to 1,000 hours. And the reason for this huge discrepancy is because of the heat generated and the efficiency of the bulb. Generally, the higher the voltage of the bulb, the more heat it will generate. In turn, this will shorten the bulb's lifespan.
  • Is it worth it to upgrade the headlights?
Answer: Upgrading the headlights in the Nissan Altima from halogen to newer variations-such as pressurized xenon and LED-is always a good idea. Xenon bulbs, for example, produce a brighter white light than hydrogen and project the beam 30 meters farther. LED headlights, meanwhile, last much longer than halogen lights. They are more energy efficient as well.
  • What can be done to make sure the headlights will last longer?
Answer: While headlights installed in the Nissan Altima and other modern automobiles are made from durable materials, dirt, debris, and other elements can significantly shorten their lifespan. Regular cleaning with mild detergent can help keep the headlights in top condition and ensure maximum visibility. In addition, heat can also negatively affect headlight performance. Stacking several headlight bulbs together, for example, can lead to accumulation of excessive heat, which could damage or shorten the headlight's lifespan.
