"The replacement struts although of good quality were unusable for two reasons. First they were too short and second the diameter of the socket was smaller than that of the ball to which is has to attach. Unfortunately I had to return the struts."posted by: Bill on April 21, 2013view all 3 reviews

"Be sure to turn the rubber bumpers on trunk hinge to one side to allow full extension of trunk when installing"
posted by: lexguy on May 16, 2010
"I bought this for my 1993 SC300, the trunk would not stay up. Lexus parts were $250, this was $40 plus shipping. It was a perfect fit, only issue was removing the old, I had to hacksaw off the mounting bolt. I also recommend removing the rubber stops to allow the trunk to travel up a little higher, facilitates the install. Once that was done the included bolt went on easily and it was up and working, good as new. The old ones lasted 10+ years, the only question is how long these will last."posted by: LexusJ on April 23, 2010view all 5 reviews

"Ordering was easy and your site even distinguished between a trunk lid with or without a wing which is important. Shipment and delivery was fast. Installation was just like the original and the brief insructions were helpful since its been seven years since I did this job. The new installation functions well a bit more lift force than the previous set a different brand ever did. Removal of the old parts is the hardest part of this job because of Toyotas snap-clip-mounting on the rod end."posted by: LexusSC400_forever on July 30, 2013
