"Parts arrived fast and were decent quality! I was able to install them myself and save myself $500 in labor as well as $350 in parts cost!" posted by: Brian on February 5, 2014

"This is the second unit I have installed in the same window the first one was the more expensive unit buy the best and do it once right! Well a unit is only as good as its weakest point! for the last unit that was a cheap piece of plastic holding one of the cable ends which broke off and rendered the unit useless it lasted a year . Time will tell with this unit it seems like a decent piece and installed easily it comes 100% complete motor and wiring connections cables time will tell if its any good." posted by: Flydog on July 9, 2013 view all 31 reviews

"The regulator fit great, and worked great for a few weeks. Then failed. The plastic that holds the cable to lift the window failed. The window dropped down. Hope this was just bad luck and not the norm. Filled out return request form for replacement unit." posted by: Stingray190rs on September 21, 2011

"This was the first one I ever installed. It took about 30 min. to get the old one out but only took about 10 min. to put the new one in. I would do it again if I had to and save the money of having to hire it done." posted by: Hank on January 30, 2010 view all 5 reviews

Are the power windows of your Dodge Durango not working? If so, it could mean that there's a problem with the window regulator. A standard component of both automatic and manually operated car door windows, window regulators help manage the movement of the window panel up and down. Because of their location inside the car doors, Dodge Durango window regulators are fairly protected from the elements; they do not require periodic maintenance. However, excessive exposure to harsh driving environments can take its toll on the regulator and cause it to break down. So once you notice any problems with any of the power windows in the Durango, have the window regulator checked and replaced if necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ask APW
  • The power windows are malfunctioning. Does this mean that that the window regulator is broken?
Answer: A power window that isn't working properly does not necessarily equate to a broken window regulator. The Dodge Durango power window system is made up of several components that are all linked together, so if one of these components malfunctions, it would affect the entire system. If the power window switch is turned on but the motor is not working, for example, the problem is likely to be with the motor and not with the regulator. If other electrical systems in the Durango are also showing problems, a faulty fuse might be the culprit. But if the problem is isolated to the power window and the window motor is working as it should, the window regulator is likely to be the problem. But whatever the case may be, it is recommended to have the regulator inspected in the event of a power window failure.
  • Will the window regulator for the driver's side window work for the passenger side window and vice versa?
Answer: No. The window regulator for the driver's side and the passenger side window are designed to match the respective configurations of these doors, so swapping these regulators with one another would prove impossible. This is why when looking for a Dodge Durango window regulator replacement, it is essential that the replacement regulator matches the configuration of the car door.
  • How much does a replacement Dodge Durango window regulator cost?
Answer: The price of a replacement window regulator for Dodge Durango driver and passenger side doors varies depending on whether it comes with or without the motor. An OEM Dodge Durango window regulator that comes with the motor included, for example, has a price tag ranging from $60 to $130, while an OEM regulator that does not include the motor has a price tag ranging between $40 and $60.
