"Replacing this control as shown in the shop manual appears to be a very difficult task. But it was really quite easy. There is no special latching mechanism on the electriacal connector--it just pulls apart and pushes back together. And GM did a good job in providing just enought extra length in the cables to enable replacement without dismantling under the dash!!" posted by: Rocky on October 30, 2012
