"The product arrived exactly when and how they said it would. The product was new and looked to be manufactured of quality materials. Installation was easy and pain free. On the negative side the actuator control arm was not set to the same angle as the factory and the piece that actually connected to the locking mechanism was also at a slightly different angle. It doesn t not fit properly and im almost certain it will fail soon."posted by: teamjv on July 22, 2014view all 2 reviews

"I purchased one of these had it installed by a certified shop and all was fine for about 8 months. Then it started making a long loud clicking noise every time I locked the door. I got a warrantied replacement (which obviously doesn t cover installation costs) had installed and it only worked for 5 weeks before the same issue developed. I m now about 1 month into the 3rd unit. When/if this one fails I ll do what I should ve done from the onset use OEM parts from GM."posted by: 3rdTry on November 6, 2014view all 14 reviews

"installed this drivers side lock Actuator in my 2000 gmc sierra. install was tough to do on your own, once installed worked great for a couple months. Then when it got cold outside the doors would tend to freeze shut, also would the locks. But funy part is that when i used my keyless enrty to unlock the doors the VDO actuator didnt have enough power to unlock the door. The stock passenger side actuator would still unlock the door tho!. And yes this happend more then once. And my battery is brand new. So what im saying is its not as powerfull as the stock Actuator. Now thats not the bad part.. i got over that problem bye leaving my doors unlocked over night. But 2 days ago i had a new problem. When i unlock the door either useing my keyless or the actual unlock switch in the truck the lock makes a whinning sound and doesnt unlock the door.. it'll lock it fine. but just whines and wont unlock. This product is exaclty a year old. But doesnt matter becuase theres no warrenty on this product anyways. My advice is spend the extra money on ac delco or even factory Acuator. Hope this helps your shopping."posted by: TravGMCSIERRA on September 27, 2011view all 1 reviews
"My 2003 Suburban passenger door-lock had ceased to work unless with a key and it was a hassle as I did not allways remember. The dealer price for both part and installation was ridiculous so I did it myself having looked at the help videos on line. I am very pleased with both the price and the result. I got the actuator just two days after ordering."posted by: Hugh on September 11, 2014view all 1 reviews
