Very thick rubber material similar in texture to a car tire just not as thick as a tire. Fitment is almost perfect but extremely close in my 2007 SR5 tundra with 6.5 ft bed. Underneath there dimples or buttons that keep the mat from completely touching the bed floor. This is just enough space to allow free flow of air to let things dry out. Glad I bought it wish Id done it a few years ago before hauling stuff would have saved a few dents.

THE BED MAT MAKES THE COMPOSITE BED OF THE 05'-08' TACOMAS MORE USEFUL, SINCE ITEMS STORED DUE NOT SLIDE ALL OVER THE BED. THE BED MAT WORKS GREAT , IS PRICED LOWER THAN THE FACTORY MAT AND SEEMS TO BE BETTER QUALITY.

Bought the mat and had to trim it to fit in my 5' bed which was stated in the description when I ordered it. Protects the bed and is kinder to your knees when working in the bed of the truck. My only complaint is that the mat seems to attract dust? When stepped on with shoes, your shoe print ends up all over the place? No problem though as its a "work" truck. Just looks old when the mat is only a couple of weeks old.
