The back half could have been a little longer toward the front so that the 2 halves completely come together. Wish I had measured before installation so I could tell how far the 2 halves joined. Doesn't appear to leak however. Recommend use of liquid wrench on bolts ahead of time. I'll be minus one fingernail in a few weeks. The rear flange on the new part was much thicker than the original so longer bolts are required. I wasted a lot of time figuring out what size(M10X1.25). There is a SAE size and thread that is almost identical. They should have supplied the new bolts and some instructions with a few tips. If I had to do another one I could do it in 2-3 hours rather than the 8 it took. It worked however and I'm happy.

The two pieces of pipe that slip together needs welding or a clamp to seal properly and not rattle when accelerating. Some instructions would be helpful. Overall a good replacement since the dealership wanted $1500 to replace the original.
Great Deal for less then half the price of stock. by yellowman, July 24, 2009

Short term review after 180 miles. Where I live has emissions testing. They wont test with a check engine light on. When I checked the code it gave a "Cat Performing below Threshold " code. Priced stock converters and all were between $800 and $900. The stock design is designed in a way where welding a universal would be extremely difficult. Found this one for $325 after shipping. Showed up in two days. All pipes were bent correctly and it went together trouble free except the rear mount flange. The mount flange that connects to the rear exhaust section had spring bolt holes that were too small to allow the spring bolt lip to go through. Had to drill slightly larger holes in order to fit the stock spring bolts. After install I cleared the codes and the code never came back. Works great. Did change the sound of the vehicle slightly but barely noticeable. All parts except spring bolts and one donut gasket included. Had no problem reusing both parts. The bung hole for the O2 sensor was the correct position and thread. Well worth the value so far. Hope it lasts longer then the stock one did.
