Purchased for my 2005 Nissan Altima. I was told by the mechanic that the universal converter would not fit on my car because it s connected to the manifold. I checked other website large chain stores and found not one at this price.

I installed this convertor on a 2005 Altima and both 02 sensors. Here are the problems and solutions that I had with this installation.1. The rear heat shields cant be installed on new Cat.Solution: Dont worry about because the new Cat. is smaller and sits 3 inches away from engine.2. There are two 02 sensor ports the cat. which the old one has just one port.Solution: Use the old 02 sensor to plug the bottom port or go to Lowes to fine and 18 mm plug to fit.3. I couldnt install the top nut on the blot because the welds from the pipe was too much to install the flange nut.Solution: I had to go to Lowes and 10 mm 1.25 pitch nut with a lock washer to mount the Cat. I had to use an open box wrench to install the nut.4. You have to purchase a spring bolt kit for the bottom part of this installation which dont come with the nuts. this is because some Cats are threaded which this one in not.Solution: Autozone has the 10 mm 1.25 pitch flange nut which was self locking. This information will save you time if you get the part ahead of time.Enjoy!

designed for only one of the original three heat shields but bolt holes do not line up and heat shield would not fit around bend of pipes / excess welding slag obscured exhaust ports - had to be ground out before installing / main bolt to engine block does not line up / comes with two Oxygen sensor holes - car has only one. IMPOSSIBLE to find 18m fine thread bolt to fill extra hole / a nightmare to install - spent what I saved on product making the necessary adaptions for this to even marginally fit into vehicle / I truly regret purchasing this product- recommend purchasing the more expensive converter
