I bought this filter and installed it in a 2002 E150 van. Before the filter change I was getting about 13.2 mpg. After the filter change (2 tanks of gas) I am getting about 13.4. Not much of an mpg gain. No real way for me to test increased performance so I can't say if it is much improved. I guess biggest savings will come over time with out having to replace more filters (if this one cleans up well). My van will have to go about 30-40k more miles to save enough in filters to break even with high cost of this filter. Seems somewhat of a let down.

I've had one of these in my Mustang since I bought it 3 years ago.. The car has 134k on it and still can achieve 29mpg highway. The reason is simple, the K & N air filter helps the motor run smoother and effient, thus better performance and milage.

I purchased my first three K&N filters from you after hearing a discussion between my Barber and a Mechanic in the Barber Shop. I just gave my Toyota Pickup to my son and Purchased a Ford F150 to pull a car trailer with my two antique cars. The first thing I did after I purchased it was buy a K&N filter from you. I have noticed that with the K&N filters that on the highway I get 3-4 more miles per gallon over the paper filters that are OEM equipment. With the price of gas today that can add up to the cost of the filter alone on a couple of long trips, plus the fact that they are good for 1,000,000 miles. They are GREEN too, your not tossing a paper filter in the trash every six months or so. I notice that I seem to get more power out of the vehicles that I have these installed in. Not much more milage around town, but out on the open road is where you notice the gas savings. I currently have these filters in a 2005 Kia Sedona, a 2006 Kia Sorento, and a Ford F150. I also own a 1928 Ford Model A and a 1940 flat head V8 Ford, I wish I could get a K&N filter for those too. I now have the Service Techs at my KIA Dealer using K&N filters and they rave about the milage they are gettings. Some dealers try to scare you to use the OEM filters the fact is that the K&N Fileters are a cost savings and exceed the specs of the OEM filters. the fellow in the Barber Shop was a Ford Mechanic and he highly recommded these filters. I recomend these to anyone who drives a lot, I only wish that I had found them back when I was comuting 100 miles a day round trip to and from work.
