Bought a left and right side mirror for my Dodge 2500 4x4. Outer portion of mirror assy looks just like the original and is made of same thick sturdy plastic however the mechanical portion of the power adjustment is cheap and causes the mirror to shake and be easily stripped on the gears. The shaking is very annoying while driving. I ve even considered taking the guts out of the old mirrors but looks like i would do more damage as they are molded into the mirror housing.

This mirror is easy to install took less then 15 minutes. After it was on vehicle the mirror vibrates. At highway speed not to bad. Objects in mirror seem to be distorted a little bit. When the mirror is in horizontal position it will not adjust all the way to the top. Havent checked it out in the vertical position. I think I will replace this mirror even though its not broke.

Easy installation. Mirror housing was stable however the mirror shakes significantly while driving and even while stopped at light. Checked mirror attachment to mounting plate - significantly different system than OEM. Mirror travel was less than normal vertically (wouldnt go high enough yet toggling down provides a view of the pavement); operated normal horizontally.

I was looking to replace my smaller OEM mirrors with Trailering mirrors. I priced out Stock OEM Mirrors and found them to be expensive. Most auto wreckers didnt have any used ones in stock and if they did they wanted outrageous prices. I found the Kool Vue replacement ones online and did some research. Most reviews came back positive so I took a chance. The price was less than half what the wreckers wanted. They installed easily and the performance so far has met my expectations. I highly recommend these to anyone looking to replace their OEM mirrors with trailering mirrors AAA+++

Installing this mirror literally took me only 15 minutes. I was replacing an existing powered/heated/towing mirror, so I didn't have to get too crazy with it. These steps assume that you are doing the same. Your mileage may vary if you are going from non-towing to towing, etc. Also note that I was working on a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab. - Remove the screw from the triangular plastic cover (mine says Infinity on it for the sound system) to expose two of the three mirror bolts on the existing mirror. The third bolt is already exposed on a part of the door that can only be seen when the door is open. - Disconnect the molex plug from the back of the existing mirror. The molex plug is similar to ones you may have seen on computer motherboards. Squeeze the clip to release it, then pull the plug away from the socket. - If needed to gain access to the bolts, work the upper corner of the panel (nearest the mirror) free. The panel is held on by very sturdy plastic clips that are designed to release as they are bent upward. Only one of these clips needs to be removed from its socket to free the corner. Make sure the cable cannot fall back behind the door panel. - Using an appropriately sized socket and ratchet, loosen and remove the nuts from the existing mirror's three bolts. Remember, the third bolt is separate from the two behind the triangular plastic cover. More than likely, the mirror will not fall away from the vehicle on its own, but you may want to have someone hold it while you do this work. - Once all the bolts have been removed, pull the mirror away from the door. Expect a little resistance from the existing foam seal. Don't worry too much about tearing it, since the mirror comes with a new one. - Clean the area where the new mirror will rest. I used a Windex-like cleaner. - Remove the nuts from the new mirror's bolts and set them aside. The bolts will remain in the mirror's base. - Position the new mirror and push the bolts through the door. Have someone hold the mirror in place, ensuring that the foam seal does not stick out beyond the base of the mirror. - Attach the three nuts to their respective bolts and hand tighten as much as possible. Double check the positioning of the mirror and the foam seal. - Using an appropriately sized socket and ratchet, tighten each bolt, first to stabilize the mirror and then again to full tightness. Do not over-tighten. - Connect the cable with the molex connector to the corresponding socket on the back of the mirror's base. - If you pulled out the corner of the door panel, find the plastic clip, line it up with the hole in the door, and push it back in. You may need to bang on it with your fist to get it to go in all the way. - Install the plastic triangular cover to hide the two bolts and attach it with the screw that you removed earlier. That's the entire procedure. Easy, wasn't it?

Ordered this mirror for my 2007 Ram 1500. Mirror arrived and looks and performs EXACTLY like the factory installed towing mirrors. I have no complaints. I liked these so well, I ended up removing mirrors when trading in the truck and installing them on my new 2008 Ram 2500.

Placed the order Sunday received the mirror on Thursday. This was now our 3rd purchase from the company and we've always been satisfied. The mirror was a perfect match. Although there was the heated plug-in we didn't need to use it. DIY assembly.....so easy. Website said a little over an hour for installation...not even!! 10 minutes tops to install. We will continue to shop from this company.

Shipping arrived in a few days, I installed it in less than an hour. You do not have to take the door panel off all the way. Just get enough room to take off the bottom nut and that is the hardest part. Take the old off and put the new on.

Ordered left and right mirrors for towing. Installed them on a 2007 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. They were easy to install, look great and are a very good value. They shake just a touch at highway speed but it's hardly noticable. If you're looking for something like this you can't go wrong with these.

These mirrors are great. I got one for each side. I needed to upgrade my mirrors for towing. All of the options that I saw seemed cheap and flimsy. Then I saw a Dodge HD with towing mirrors that flipped out. I then went on a OEM quest and found this site and these mirrors. The dealership wanted $600 for both installed, the body shop wanted $400 for both installed. I got the pair for half the cost. I am not very mechanically inclined so I researched how to install the mirrors on the internet. I found out and installed them myself It took less than 15 minutes a mirror. Only need a screw driver, pliers, and socket set. They look awesome and they DO NOT shake at all at highway speed in either mode.
