I went to several shops and auto part stores and they all told me that I couldn't get just the mirror with backing, and that I would have to purchase a whole new side mirror assembly. I live in the city, and my mirror gets broken about four times a year, so after the first replacement ($115), I decided to look online some more. I ordered the replacement for my 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 mirror. It arrived at my house in Oregon in 4 days, and I walked out and popped it right onto the side mirror assembly. No problem. It looks good, fit perfect, and I will always order from here.
