This filter replaces the stock one perfectly. I never thought it was important to change the cabin filter. It seemed like an un-necessary service item that dealers tried to add on since you were there for an oil change at 10-15K miles. My wife's 2007 Highlander has almost 50K miles on it and the cabin filter has never been changed. So after seeing how easy it was to install (through the glove box) I decided to do it. I'm glad I did because the old filter was black and had dirt and debris all over it. This is the kind of stuff that would blow through the A/C system and make the interior more dusty/dirty. After replacing the filter the A/C blows cooler and more free flowing and has some what of a new car smell. I wll be replacing that filter every 15K to 20K miles from now on. DO IT!
