Bought a pair of these and they are working great! Work with inside button and the key fob. Check to make sure your auto lock functions AFTER your vehicle is put in gear. Mine locked when the doors were CLOSED. Locked out a friend that closed a gate for me then almost got locked out myself. Had to check owners manual and programed out the auto lock. Never had a car do that before.

03 Expedition Door Lock Actuator by WVDan, January 21, 2013

Worked Perfectly job is a little intimidating as there is not much room to work and there are several rods that you need to remove to gain access to work but if you take it step by step it works perfectly and is a ton less expensive than to pay for the repair !! There is one secret you have to google to figure how to seperate the old actuator from the locking unit in order to install new one I think it is an A-1 video that shows you to use a flate blade screwdriver to push back a clip in order for the two to seperate installation is a breeze after that. Test before complete reassembly to save time but mine is in and going strong a month later.

Good Purchase by 2000 Excursion, December 5, 2012

I have a 2000 Ford Excursion. This vehicle is notorious for having unreliable lock actuators. Ford dealerships charge around $375 to replace one (1) lock actuator. Now that I have learned how to replace an actuator which takes less than an hour per door I am paying around $25 to replace an actuator. I first ordered two (2) actuators with the 5-year guarantee. Later I was told that it is the same actuator as the one with the 1-year guarantee. So the next time I ordered a replacement actuator I ordered one with a 1-year guarantee and saved about $15. It is not worth paying the extra money for the longer guarantee since you are receiving the same actuator as the one with the shorter guarantee.

Better pricing than the dealer! by Boyet, August 28, 2012

The unit came as described and shipped within a reasonable amount of time. It worked just like the OEM part. I gave the quality a 3 stars because time will tell how long the unit will last. As for Autopartswarehouses customer service and standing behind their product time will tell as well. I recommend the product. Its priced reasonably compared to money hungry dealers. Installation was a 3 stars as well because it was freaking hard to install BUT it had nothing to do with the part. Thats how the manufacturer designed the product. Just know what youre getting into. If not you can always hire someone to install it for you.

Purchased the door actuator to replace the driver side front door of my 2003 Ford F-350 Super Duty Crew cab. With the use of a service manual I had purchased when I bought the truck new I replaced the part in one hour in my garage took a 15 in break too. The actuator was a perfect looked OE all the way. I have electric looks DA power windows and marrows. Pop off the controls unplug the connectors and remove two screws one under the control panel and one behind the red reflector on the door. Pull up on the door panel and there you are. Slide the old one out and slide the new one in not as easy as having a beer but not that hard. The manual helps and a little commonsense will go a long way.

install is involved by , April 2, 2012

When I first looked at the part I didn't think there was any way it would fit. The install requires the entire lock mechanism be removed from the vehicle which is no small job. After removal the part looked slightly different, but the old part slid right off the lock and the new one on. The slight difference in configuration did not matter. There are a number of specialty connectors that require disconnecting that made the job rather difficult, some instructions would have been very helpful. The part was delivered much faster than quoted, which was a pleasant surprise.

Go online and get detailed instuctions on how to get the old unit out of your truck. The first one will take a little time, but once you have completed the first door, the rest go very quickly. Probably took about 1 hour to change three locks out, with the first one taking about 30-40 minutes of that time.

Installation easy, but remove challenging by DeltaRomeo, May 26, 2010

The replacement was exactly what I needed and it works great. But, you must be careful removing door panel. Also, there is a trick to releasing the clip that holds the original actuator in place. There are some good instructions on line for removing door panel and actuator. Once you understand what has to be done, it's fairly easy. Installing the new part is very easy and only takes about 30 seconds. But you are working in a small space. Small hands with no arthritis will help make it even easier.
