This Volvo headlamp looks great, but is smaller than the original and does not match with the other one. It looks ok except to the discerning eye.

This unit replaced an earlier one I ordered that was defective upon receipt. The defect was a broken retainer snap tab that holds the chrome bezel in place. This replacement unit had no defects and works fine. The manufacturer has improved upon the design of the OEM unit by strengthening the posts on the back of the reflector that connect to the adjusting screws. On my OEM unit, one of these posts had failed due to the plastic being too thin, making it impossible to adjust the headlight. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not also strengthen the chrome bezel's retaining snap tabs, which, like the OEM unit, are subject to breakage under normal use.

On installation, it appears that the headlight will have to be aimed, as the beam does dip below the original OE unit as noticed on parking vehicle in garage. It was assumed that the manufacturer did assemble the unit in a jig, so as to match the OE aiming points.
