Coils were installed on a 1998 Toyota Sienna XLE with 185000 miles. Vehicle was experiencing a random misfire on one or more cylinders when the vehicle was cold but not enough to trigger a misfire code on the computer. Primary and secondary resistance was checked on the OEM coils and was found to be within specification limits. Changed Throttle Air Valve before I purchased replacement coils and this did not fix the problem. Replaced all three coil packs and now the vehicle is performing just like new. A puzzling problem but for $70 it was worth replacing all three coils in an effort to fix the problem. Replacement coils do not appear to be shielded for electrostatic discharge as well as the OEM coils as I pick up a little extra crackling noise when tuning in some radio stations. A great value for the money.
