This is an easy installation as long as you take off the plastic air box first (also easy). So far the fault code has not come back.

Original had a removable wire loom as does the more expensive models. This does not seem problematic as this censor fit and the car is running.

Part arrived promptly but no instructions or suggestions as to installation. Researched that online and installed it. Due to location on engine and not wanting to disassemble uppper parts it was somewhat of a pain to do. However after about 45 minutes got her done and check engine light went off after a test drive. Engine runs better sensor seems to be functioning properly.

The product arrived less then a week after ordering it. When I received the package and opened it it appeared that the base had some tool marks or rust on it but nothing to complain about for the price. The only real problems i ran into with my 1997 subaru legacy l 2.2 engine was getting at the old sensor was very tricky (once me and a couple buddies managed to find it) as its under the throttle and a little towards the front of the car. The new one went in without a problem once i used a piece of paper in the socket to keep the bolt steady then inserted the extension with bolt held in the socket with the paper and fed it down by hand in between all the wires and hoses. make sure to plug the new sensor in before trying to bolt it on as its tricky to try to plug it in while its down under everything.

There is a magnetized base on these things that can complicate installation. My mechanic puts a little piece of saran wrap or clear plastic over the bolt to ease first getting it started. This part is routinely 80- 100 dollars from parts stores, and they have to order it. Buy here instead.
