An exact replacement for the OEM part by Robert, October 26, 2013

Even though I was not getting a check engine light in my old Volvo 850 the car had started stalling at lights and even on the highway when slowing down a particularly dangerous situation. This part was a direct replacement for the OEM sensor and it worked fine to eliminate the problem. Installing it takes maybe 5 minutes.

I previously paid 3 times more for a used part to be installed by a service center. This one was a third of the price and installed in 15 minutes with a better warranty.

Had engine hesitation/start issues that made the car undrivable. To avoid yet another expensive diagnostic charge plus paying for an overprieced replacement part, I troubleshooted the problem and took my chances with fixing it myself. The extermely low cost of this part (about 1/3 of what other OEM parts were running and even less than the factory replacement) made it easy to take that chance. It worked lika a charme, fit perfectly and only took ten minutes to replace.

What A Relief! by Volvo Fan, November 10, 2009

My 96 Volvo (98,000 miles) died twice while driving. I thought the worst - something must be wrong with the fuel supply/injectors etc. The check engine light was lit. I attached my laptop-based proscan OBDII detective to learn there was a high-frequency issue with the air mass meter. On the web I found it mentioned that there were no driveability problems if the air mass meter failed - just emission issues. So I was thinking that it couldn't be the air mass meter. Since I had no other option, I went ahead and ordered the meter anyway. It was a 10 minute install. Twisted the key and the engine fired right up and ran smoother and as peppy as new. So much for the "no driveability issues tale." What a relief! That was two weeks ago. No problems since then. I have noticed that the missing for a minute during cold startup has also gone away. Don't know for sure if they are connected but probably so. If your Volvo stutters in the morning, consider replacing the air mass meter yourself.
