The metal is so thin that it is easy to damage. The edge was bent by a hit on the box before it was shipped. I dont expect it to last very long in use. I would rather pay more for something that would last in normal use. Also I dont understand why the shipping charges were 1.5 times the cost of the tail gate.

Fits perfectly just like the orgiinal. The steel is much thinner than the OE tailgate. Because of weight issues of loading an ATV numerous times I had to pop rivet the seams along the sides to make sure they would hold the strain and not seperate as another companies replacement I had used previouisly did. I added a plywood cover to the inside after assembly of the handle mechanism. This will provide better weight distribution over the tailgate when loading heavy items. The rust inhibitor finish is ver smooth and covers completely. I finished it with a paintable liner material so it should be bomb proof for a while.
