I purchased these struts for a 1989 Cadillac. I was skeptical that they would hold up the hood since it is big and heavy. But they worked perfectly. Just the right amount of lift so that the hood stays up solidly but still closes easily. Installation was a snap, literally. Just snp the old ones out and snap the new ones in.
