Excellent Radiator by arh51, July 14, 2009

Ease of Use/Installation:
Overall Rating:

This radiator arrived in great shape! Orifices were covered with a membrane so nothing got into the radiator from the packing material. Extra fittings came with the part to accommodate differing connector types. Installation was very straight forward and the fit was actually better than the original radiator making it easier to install the hoses and tubing. This radiator also weighed about 1/2 of what the original Chrysler radiator did. Only draw back was it did not include new seals but removing the old ones and installing them on the new one was a snap. BEWARE!! No quick connect fittings were included with this but the old one can be reused if it is not damaged. Removing the old quick connect fitting was a pain as I had to break the original tube from the old radiator and remove the quick connect after cleaning out all the gunk. The new radiator does have the required tube so it was no a big problem. All in Aall I am very pleased with this radiator.

New radiator arrived in good shape, however some styrofoam packing material got into the open hose ports and I had to blow out to make sure it was all removed. Radiator was an exact fit to to the original, but I had to transfer all top & bottom foam seals from the old radiator and re-glue onto the new along with the top mount brackets which took considrable time. I would recommend if the manufacturer could apply these seals that it would save considerable time for the customer. Once installed, the radiator performs well and I expect that the aluminum construction will outlast the original copper design.
