The Tornado fuel saver is a handy little accessory in these days of skyrocketing fuel prices, designed to make your vehicle more fuel efficient. With the simple installation of the Tornado fuel saver, the fuel mileage of your vehicle can be increased by as much as twenty-eight percent, a welcome savings for any budget. The Tornado fuel saver uses a very simple and effective method to produce this reduction in fuel consumption, adding efficiency to the combustion process with an enhancement of the fuel and air mixture. Simply inserted into the air intake hose, the Tornado fuel saver changes the passive flow of air traveling into the engine combustion chambers into a whirling high velocity vortex of air, atomizing the fuel and air mixture to allow a much cleaner burn of the fuel during the combustion process. A clean burn of fuel during combustion leads to the best engine performance and power output, while decreasing emissions and fuel consumption. This simple improvement can add miles per gallon to the capacity of your vehicle without any detrimental affect on its power and performance, and installation is done quickly and easily, taking just a few simple hand tools and about five minutes of your time. How to Save Money When Shopping for a Tornado Fuel Saver

Who doesn't want to save a little on fuel every day? With prices of gas seemingly on the rise every day, it seems very important to be able to find a way to even the odds. Enter the Tornado fuel saver. Among the fuel savers out there, this one was simple to install and provide a little extra savings and performance boosts at an affordable price.

Will one size fit all?

You have to be careful when shopping for a Tornado Fuel Saver because there are differences in the specifications-diameter and height-depending on two things: the type of engine that you have and the make and model of your vehicle.

Tornados in carbureted engines tend to be of a larger size than those in fuel-injected engines. That's because the sizes of the intakes vary between the two. Once that is out of the way, the next thing to realize is that between makes and models are small differences in engine design-however similar the design sensibilities are.

Within your vehicle's manual are the dimensions of the intakes as well as the specific type of engine you have. Catalogs and online retailers helpfully add the dimensions of the Tornado Fuel Savers that they sell-do the homework and shop carefully.

How do you know you're getting the right one?

The beauty of the Tornado is that it has no moving parts that are likely to break down. The design is simple: three precision-engineered slotted fins evenly spaced around the body of the Tornado. Look for three triangular shaped protuberances shaped like "V's" and attached to the wall of the device.

Another guide to getting the genuine article is price. It tends to fluctuate around $50 but is rarely higher than that after Federal taxes. Be cautious when you come across a lower offer because you might be duped into buying a cheap rip-off that can break and leave residue inside your engine!

Harnessing the Tornado Fuel Saver-and Putting It In

So you want to enjoy the amazing benefits of the Tornado fuel saver. Better mileage, added horsepower output, and improved throttle response-who doesn't want that. The question is: how does one put it in? With this simplified guide, we show you how-it's ridiculously simple! In fact, you can finish this task in 10 to 15 minutes.

Difficulty level: Easy

Stuff you'll need:

  • Your new Tornado fuel saver
  • You vehicle's owner's manual
  • Screwdrivers
  • Socket wrench-for some fuel-injected engines

Step 1: Disengage your vehicle's battery and allow for half an hour to pass before doing any work-this will decrease the chances of experiencing nasty electrical shocks while you work under the hood.

Step 2: Locate the air filter housing. Generally, this is up front and to your right if you are looking into your engine block-the intake tube, huge and wide as it is, is easier to spot and can serve as a guide. When all else fails, consult your vehicle's owner's manual to guide you.

For carburetor engines

Step 3a: Unscrew the mounting screw on the intake tube leading to your air filter housing.

Step 4a: Carefully insert the Tornado Fuel Saver into the intake tube-making sure that it fits snuggly in a balanced position, and that it is secure and not too easily jostled.

Step 5a: Slowly slide the intake tube back onto the air filter housing.

Step 6a: Reattach the mounting screw-making sure it is very tight.

*NOTE* Once done, skip over to step 7.

For fuel-injected engines

Step 3b: Remove the retaining wingnut-you can unscrew this with your fingers-and remove the cover of the air filter housing.

Step 4b: Locate the stem of the air filter cover and the carburetor intake. Again, refer to your owner's manual to guide you as to where it is precisely and what it looks like.

Step 5b: Insert the Tornado Fuel Saver onto the throttle body, making sure that it covers the carburetor intake.

Step 6b: Replace the air filter housing cover, and secure it tightly with the retaining wingnut.

*NOTE* Once done, skip over to step 7.

Step 7: Reattach your battery, and you're good to go.

General tips:

  1. It's always a good idea to set a baseline to measure the performance of the Tornado Fuel Saver that you purchased. Drive around without on installed and monitor your fuel consumption. Then, that done, replicate the same drive with on installed. You should notice an appreciable increase in mileage of 4-5 mpg.
  2. Always keep safe. Whenever you work under the hood, wear goggles to protect your eyes, insulated gloves to protect you from shocks, and closed-toed shoes to protect your toes.
