If you’re like us, then you’ll probably agree when we say that everything is awesome when it comes to Lego! Those little bricks that let you build pretty much anything you can imagine are, like we said, awesome.
So how do you make Lego bricks even more awesome than they already are? By building cars with them, of course! It’s the perfect combination of two things that we absolutely love.
Here are some of the most amazing cars built using Lego bricks:
- Ariel Atom

The Ariel Atom is a lightweight road legal high performance car made in England. This Lego version looks just like the real thing, with its almost bare body and exposed mechanical bits. Wonder if it could hold up to the speeds the real Atom gets to, though?
- Lightning McQueen

Cars wasn’t exactly Pixar’s most critically-acclaimed film, but it did become extremely popular. One of the most famous among all of the movie’s characters was Lightning McQueen. We can’t really say this Lego version is life-sized since McQueen doesn’t exist in real life, but suffice to say that it is big…and very detailed. Nice!
- Volvo XC90

Yes, it’s a life-size replica of the Volvo SUV, complete with tires and all. Can you imagine how tedious it must have been to build this thing? It does look great, though.
- Ford Explorer
Ford used almost 400,000 Lego bricks to build this full-size model to advertise what was then the newly released Explorer. Anything for publicity, eh? Again, we love all of the details Ford was able to include.
- Super Awesome Micro Project
What you see is a fully functional, life-size hot rod. Yes, the body and the other panels made of Lego bricks are impressive, but what’s more mind-blowing are the four air-powered engines, also all made of Lego pieces. Yep, this thing can move! Check this video to see it in action.
And there you go. Just a few examples of some great cars made almost entirely using Lego bricks. Everything is awesome, right?
